For a lot of years EXPERT  is a manufacturer of transformers and transformer rectifier units for resistance welding application and for heating processes as also required e.g. in the ceramic and glass industry, so where the transformer has to change the energy of the electric supply into high currents and relative low voltages.

To use the transformer effectively it has to be arranged as closed as possible at the supplying load.

Therefore it is required a very compact transformer design with a very high power density.

This will be realized by application of the most modern insulation technique combined with space saving, modular elements as magnetic cores and windings.

The potting of the active parts in resin ensures a high absorption capacity against the mechnical shock load which especially will be caused by electrodynamic forces at resistance welding.

The fully encapsulated version also prevents the penetration of dirt into the active part of the transformers – a very important characteristic in the normally harsh operation conditions of  resistance welding or heating equipment.

The very compact design also will be realized by direct water cooled secondary windings, heating transformers with higher secondary voltages by an indirect water cooling system with potential free cooling circuits.

For the magnetic cores we use high quality grain oriented material winded to C-cores -  an additionally technology which ensures the high power density of EXPERT-Transformers.

EXPERT-Transformers can be combined to single or three phase rectifier units by adding modular rectifier units.

The most important innovation are the very compact Middle Frequency Transformer Rectifier Units (MFDC) to be used with static inverter systems.

The excellent power efficiency, the low weight and the very effective controllability led this technology to the determining element for the resistance welding application in the automotive industry.

In accordance with DIN 44766, ISO 5826, 10656, 12166, ISOTC44 and automotive standards EXPERT´s resistance welding transformers will be distinguished between:

• Multiwelding transformers, types A, B, B/2
• Hanging transformers for cable guns, types C, D
• Transformers with flange connection (machine transformers), types E, F, G, 9, 10, 11
• Transformers for robot  or manual transguns (integrated guns), types H, J, K and X,Z
• Mid frequency transformers rectifier units (MFDC)
• Transformers rectifier units for supply frequency (single & three phase)

EXPERT heating transformers will be used in industrial furnaces and conductive heating application and will be designed according to customers´ request.
